The Indian Navy Entrance Test or INET was conducted in its first session on 20th February 2021. The exam conducting body has released the official notification of the same on their official website. Session two will be conducted soon and the dates for the same will be released along with the notification. INET exam is one of the most prestigious examinations to be selected for the Indian Navy. Indian Navy conducts the INET exam twice a year. According to the rank/ score of the candidates, they will qualify for various posts under the Indian Navy.   • To appear for the INET 2021 examination candidates must be 23 years of age (born on or before 1996). The upper age limit for INET 2021 varies as per the posts. 
  • The application fee varies according to the categories. For General candidates, it is 250 INR, whereas there is no application fee for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Candidates need to go through various stages to qualify for the INET 2021 examination. The INET Selection Process consists of a written examination, which is followed by an interview/personality test and a medical test. 
  • The merit list will be prepared by the Indian Navy after the successful completion of the INET 2021 examination. The merit list will be published on the official website of the Indian Navy.

Step 2: Navigate to the link which says, “Click here to Apply Online”

Step 3: A new page will appear. Click on “Register” to apply for the INET 2021 examination.

Step 4: Two options will be available on the next page such as “Register with Aadhaar Virtual ID” or “Register without Aadhaar”. Select the appropriate one and click on proceed. 

Step 5: Provide the ID Proof details and number to register in the portal. 

Step 6: Then log into the portal and fill in the basic details such as name, email address, phone number, etc. along with the educational details.

Step 7: Upload the required documents like your signature and photograph. Take the help of our Photo Resizing Tool.

Step 8: Pay the required application fees.

Step 9: Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

  • It is compulsory for all candidates to pay the application fee to confirm their application form submission. 
  • Application fees are not refundable under any circumstances. 

INET Selection Process 2021

Candidates must be aware of the INET 2021 Selection Process before appearing for the examination. The selection process is as follow: 

  • INET 2021 Written Examination: The exam conducting body will conduct a written examination, which consists of four sections (English, Reasoning & Numerical Aptitude, General Science & Mathematical Aptitude, and General Knowledge). The total marks for the examination will be 400. 
  • Shortlisting the candidates for SSB (Interview/Personality Test): On the basis of the written test candidates will be shortlisted and they will be notified via email/SMS to appear for an interview and personality test round. 
  • Medical Test: Passing the medical test is compulsory for all the candidates appearing for the INET examination. All the details regarding medical standards are given below. 
  • Merit List and Appointment Letter (Final Selection): The board will publish the final merit list of candidates by considering the marks from the written examination and SSB round. The candidates should be certified as medically fit by the SSB, after which candidates will be provided with the appointment letter for the initial training period.

SSC Education (M/F)

  • Candidates must have First Class in M.Sc degree in any of the following such as Maths/Operational Research/Physics/Nuclear Physics/Meteorology/Oceanology/ Atmospheric Science with a valid B.Sc. as well.

The INET 2021 Salary of the Indian Navy officer after the INET Exam varies as per the post. The salary pay band as per the 7th pay commission for Sub Lieutenant rank ranges from 56,100 INR to 1,77,500 INR.

INET 2021 cut off of the INET Written test will be released on the official website of the Indian Navy.
