UPTET 2021 Admit Card Out. The official notification was released recently by the board and accordingly, the UPTET registration process was active between 7.10.2021 to 26.10.2021. The exam will be taking place on 28th November 2021. 

What is UPTET?

The UPTET exam is a state-level-based entrance test. This test is conducted for candidates who want to join the teachers training sector for either primary or junior high school level. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) conducts the Teacher Eligibility Test commonly known as UPTET every year. Candidates can apply for the test once the official notification and UPTET application form has been announced by the Board. 

  • The candidates who wish to become a teacher for the class 1 to 8 level, he/she must qualify the eligibility test. In order to do so, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the basic eligibility criteria as required by the Board. 
  • The candidates who apply for the exam and those whose applications get selected will have to go through a test in the selection process. 
  • The candidates who qualify the written test will receive an eligibility certificate which will be valid for lifetime.

UPTET Vacancy 2021

To note, the UPTET examination 2021 is a qualifying examination. It does not offer direct recruitment to the candidates. Candidates appearing for the UPTET exam must qualify the cut-off laid by the exam conducting body to get the eligibility certificate. After obtaining the eligibility certificate, the candidates are eligible to apply for the teaching jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility certificate issued by UPBEB after the UPTET exam is valid only for five years from the date of issue.

UPTET Apply Online 2021

Candidates should fill the application through an online mode from the official website. Follow the steps below to know the UPTET apply online process for 2021.

UPTET Selection Process 2021

  • The UPTET exam 2021 consists of two papers.
  •  Paper I can be attended by aspirants who wish to teach classes I-V. 
  • Paper-II will be for candidates who wish to teach classes VI-VIII. 
  • The candidates who wish to teach classes I-VIII will have to appear for both the papers. 
  • The candidates who score a minimum of 60% marks in the written test will be declared UPTET qualified.
  • An eligibility certificate will be issued to the qualified candidates to apply for teaching in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. 
  • The validity of the UPTET eligibility certificate is five years from the date.

Upper Primary Teachers

  • Graduation examination from a university/college established by law and recognized by UGC and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) after appearing in the final year of two-year D.El.Ed. (BTC) from an institution affiliated to the Government of Uttar Pradesh or Passed. OR
  • Graduation or Post Graduation with minimum 50% marks and NCTE from a University/College established by law and recognized by UGC. Passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a recognized institution OR
  • Graduate or Masters degree with minimum 45% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a University/college established by law and recognized by UGC, National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Methodology) issued from time to time in this regard. ) has been obtained in accordance with the regulations.   • Both the papers will be an MCQ based UPTET exam.
  • There are two different types of papers in the examination; Paper I for Class 1 to 5, and Paper II for Class 6 to 8.
  • The papers will carry 150 marks in total.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark each.
  • There will be no negative marking in the marking scheme.
  • Candidates who score 60% in the exam will be considered qualified.

UPTET 2021 Exam Day Guidelines 

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is generally conducted in offline mode as it is a pen-and-paper based test. As the official notification is not out, below are some of the important things that candidates need to keep check of, on the day of the UPTET exam are as follows:

  1. Candidates should be ready with their writing material which includes at least two ballpoint pens of black and blue color according to their preference and also the pencils and associated material.
  2. Candidates should not forget to bring their admit card which has all of their information and is needed for the authentication of the individual making it a very important document to carry.
  3. Along with admit card, candidates are also required to carry two passport size photographs and a photo ID proof (PAN card/driving license/voter ID card/Aadhar card/ration card) to the examination center.
  4. Any type of digital study material or any digital device which can store information is not allowed in the examination center and failing to do so will result in strict action taken on the concerned candidate.
  5. As the covid pandemic is going on, the candidates also need to follow all the covid guidelines which consist of masks, bottles of sanitizer should be carried along with them.

UPTET Salary 2021

The UPTET examination 2021 is qualifying in nature. It does not offer direct recruitment to the candidates. Therefore, there is no clear salary structure. Candidates appearing for the UPTET exam must qualify for the cut-off laid by the exam conducting body to get the eligibility certificate. After obtaining the eligibility certificate, the candidates are eligible to apply for the teaching jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility certificate issued by UPBEB after the UPTET exam is valid only for five years from the date of issue.

UPTET Cut Off 2021 (Expected)

The candidates who will be attending the online written examination will have to score minimum qualifying marks in order to qualify for the exam. Candidates who score the minimum marks also need to score more than the UPTET cut-off marks that are required. We will update the cut off marks on our portal once announced by the board. Candidates can keep checking our portal for regular updates.

  • The minimum qualifying marks is 60%, ie: 90/150 marks. 
  • The candidates who qualify for the UPTET exam will be accorded the UPTET eligibility certificate.

How to Prepare for UPTET Exam 2021
